We are offering two scholarships in the amount of $800 to a senior pursuing their education in the mental health field. 


Deadline For applications is May 15th, 2023


The recipients will be announced at the Run for Hope 5k race on June 3rd.

2023 Scholarship Winners

Amy Tenesaca

Amy graduated from New Milford High School. She plans on attending UConn. She was an actor for the Haunted Trail, a side walk painter for Pride Month, a mentor at New Milford Youth Agency and many more volunteer positions with in the town.  

Olivia Kracht

Olivia graduated from Litchfield High School.  She will be attending Brown University. She has volunteered with the Tri-Town Youth Baseball/Softball, Project Purple and the Interact Club.  She enjoys Tan Soo Do Martial Arts, softball and the jazz band.

Rebecca Varnum

Rebecca graduated from Nonnewaug High School.  She will be attending Boston College. She was a Peer Mentor for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Volunteer Junior firefighter, Peer tutor and Church Volunteer for Harvest Walks for Hunger and Shoebox Ministry.  

Grace King

Grace graduated from New Milford High School. She will be attending Muhlenberg College. She has volunteered with Loaves & Fishes, Intro to Hockey, Intro to Lacrosse, Youth Field Hockey and is a Tutor in Spanish, Math and Histor. 

2022 Scholarship Winners

Taylor Giroux

Taylor graduated from Shepaug Valley High School.  She will be attending University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has volunteered at the Gunn Memorial Library, Bridgewater Fair and the Washington Environmental Council-Earth Day. 

Emily Dunn

Emily graduated from New Milford High School. She will be attending Nova South Eastern. She enjoys making holiday cards for seniors and teaching them how to read. She has donated to numerous nonprofits and likes taking care of animals. 

2021 Scholarship Winners

Kaylie Anderson

Kaylie graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School.  She will be attending Northwestern Connecticut Community College. She loves to volunteer at various things around her town.  

Trinity Williamson

Trinity graduated from Shepaug Valley High School. She will be attending Rhode Island College. She has volunteered at numerous food shelters with youth group organizations. 

Ashlee Minacci

Ashlee graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School. She will be attending Sacred Heart University. She is a member of the North Canaan Volunteer Ambulance.  She has volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Drive and The Little Guild. 

2020 Scholarship Winners

Jessy Haggard


Jessy graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School and plans to attend UCONN. She has volunteered at Geer Retirement Village many fundraisers and student Council projects. She also wrote/Illustrated a children's book aimed at elementary school kids,”Jordan Goes to Therapy”


Mariah Doyle


Mariah attended Torrington High School and plans to attend Southeastern University Florida.  She was a special Olympics Assistant Coach and was on the Mayors Committee on Youth. She also helped start and develop the Care Closet which provides clothing and hygiene products for students in unstable housing.
