ABOUT US

We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization in Litchfield County seeking to help those affected by suicide and to bring awareness to mental health issues.

  • We hope to provide scholarships/grants to those that are furthering their education focusing on mental health
  • We financially assist families that are affected by suicide
  • All donations stay in Connecticut

Our Achievements 

Scholarships

2020 we were able to give two $500 scholarships to students in the Litchfield Country area pursuing their education in the mental health field. 


2021 we were able to give three $500 scholarships to students in the Litchfield Country area pursuing their education in the mental health field. 


2022 we were able to give two $800 scholarships to students in the Litchfield Country area pursuing their education in the mental health field.   


safeTALK


In 2019 we provided a safeTALK training. This was a Free half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.



Operation Warrior Horse


This is a ten week program where Veterans meet for two hours a week on a farm to partner with a horse and licensed mental health professional in therapy.  The healing effects of the horse and human connection, helping them to heal from the invisible wounds incurred during service.


2021 and 2022 - We were able to sponsor a Litchfield County Veteran to participate in this program. 


Mental Health First Aid Training


This course teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a potential mental health challenge. Participants will learn skills to listen non-judgmentally, give reassurance, and identify appropriate professionals to help.


This will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, 9am-4pm at the Bethlehem Library.
