ABOUT US

We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization in Litchfield County seeking to help those affected by suicide and to bring awareness to mental health issues.

  • We hope to provide scholarships/grants to those that are furthering their education focusing on mental health
  • We financially assist families that are affected by suicide
  • All donations stay in Connecticut

Our Achievements 

Scholarships

2020 we were able to give two $500 scholarships to students in the Litchfield County area pursuing their education in the mental health field. 


2021 we were able to give three $500 scholarships to students in the Litchfield County area pursuing their education in the mental health field. 


2022 we were able to give two $800 scholarships to students in the Litchfield County area pursuing their education in the mental health field. 


2023 we were able to give four $800 scholarships to students in the Litchfield County area. 


safeTALK


In 2019 we provided a safeTALK training. This was a Free half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper.



Operation Warrior Horse


This is a ten week program where Veterans meet for two hours a week on a farm to partner with a horse and licensed mental health professional in therapy.  The healing effects of the horse and human connection, helping them to heal from the invisible wounds incurred during service.


2021, 2022 & 2023 - We were able to sponsor a Litchfield County Veteran to participate in this program. 


Mental Health First Aid Training


This course teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a potential mental health challenge. Participants will learn skills to listen non-judgmentally, give reassurance, and identify appropriate professionals to help.


This will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, 9am-4pm at the Bethlehem Library.

Starmind Journal

The Guide is an integrative journal designed to kickstart your personal growth... It provides a holistic introduction to key psychology concepts like growth mindset, burnout, and time management while taking inspiration from practical cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. Its integrative QR code system provides a seamless combination of paper and digital!  


We provided a journal to each member of the Alliance Group at the Woodbury Middle School.
